August Book Club
Hi Everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful summer.
We are taking a summer break from book club. We will resume our meet up in August. The book we are reading during our summer break is The Fire and the Covenant by Gerald N. Lund. We are meeting August 22, 2013 at Jordan Robertson's home.
I will have Jordan send a reminder closer to the time.
Hope to see you all then!

February Book Club
Hi All!
For February our book club book is Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran. Chris Collins is hosting in her home on February 28th at 7:00. In order to accommodate her we will have book club a little earlier at 7:00 pm. The gate to her housing development closes after 7 pm. You can still get in but it is a hassle to have to get out of your car to call Chris to open it. We thought it would be easier to just begin earlier at 7:00.
Hope you can make it!

January Book Club
Hi everyone!
For January we are reading The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom. I just finished it and it is a very uplifting read. I really encourage everyone to read it! I have a copy available for anyone who needs to borrow it.
Kaylynn See is hosting this month in her home. Email me or her for her address. Since there was a big stake primary meeting we are holding book club a week late on January 31st at 7:30 pm.
Kaylynn- let me know if you need help with anything. You are in charge of emailing everyone a week prior to book club to remind them. You also are in charge of discussion questions. (You may delegate that if you'd like)
Thanks everyone! See you then.

2013 READING LIST
Hi ladies,
Here is the final list of our book selections for 2013. I am so excited to read many of these books! It's going to be a great year.
Hosts are in charge of sending out the reminder email as well as providing (or delegating) discussion questions. I know first hand how amazing everyone is at volunteering to help out and bring food so please do not hesitate to ask. I am always willing to help out as well! No pressure for food. We just love getting together.
Any questions let me know. I want to thank everyone for being so kind and helping with our December book club. It was a lot of fun and I really appreciate all of the yummy treats you brought to share. I feel very lucky to have such a great group of friends to hang out with and discuss books with every month. Thank you thank you!
Leslie

December White Elephant Book Exchange PARTY!
Hi book club ladies!
On December 6, 2012 at 7:30 I will be hosting the Christmas Book Club gift exchange at my house. Everyone is to bring a book WRAPPED for a white elephant style gift exchange. It can be any book you have laying around in your home or one you found at the thrift store. I would say even a cookbook, novel, anything!
I will be providing a hot chocolate bar along with some monkey bread. Janet, Christen, and Diane have all volunteered to bring some refreshments as well. If you would love to bring something you can! But no need to worry if you cannot.
WE WILL BE DISCUSSING OUR BOOK CLUB SELECTIONS FOR THE YEAR SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING YOUR SUGGESTIONS! We would love to have some suggested books that you are passionate about and love. The book club selections have been sort of thrown together in recent months so I think it is time to really find some great books that will liven up our discussions.
I look forward to having you all in my home! I hope you can all make it. Even come late if you can!

September Book Club
Hi all,
So so sorry for this late update. September showed up so quickly! The book we are reading this month is Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz.
I think I may be out of town for book club. The fourth Thursday is the 27th. But, of course it still is planned. I suggested Cafe Zupa's as a meeting place but if anyone else has another suggestion I'm open. Book club is at 7:30. Let me know if you all would like to meet somewhere else. I will post a reminder a few days before.
Thanks,
Leslie
